The snow removal crew is called out when there is an accumulation of 4 inches of snow.
Snow removal is prioritized to keep roads safe and accessible:
-
Primary routes – Main roads, school routes, and emergency access roads are plowed first.
-
Secondary routes – Residential streets and subdivisions are plowed once primary routes are clear.
-
Cul-de-sacs & dead-end streets – These are plowed last, once main and residential roads are open.
Timing may vary depending on the severity and duration of a storm. Crews begin plowing as soon as conditions warrant and continue until all priority routes are cleared.
Property owners are reminded that sidewalks and driveways are their responsibility, and snow from private property may not be pushed into public streets.
