Personal:
- Be aware of your surroundings.
- There is safety in numbers.
- Avoid inherently dangerous situations.
- Always keep ID on your person
- Keep extra medication on hand.
- Wash your hands regularly.
Home:
- Keep a cellphone by your bed.
- Lock your doors and windows.
- Have a carbon monoxide detector.
- Regularly check your smoke detectors
- Remove tripping hazards.
- Keep fire extinguishers on hand.
- Keep important numbers by the phone.
- Have an emergency plan.
- Secure guns away from children
- Secure medications away from children
Driving:
- Make sure your vehicle is in good condition.
- Check your tire pressure regularly.
- Slow down and drive defensively.
- Don’t underestimate the weather.
- Have an emergency kit.
- Avoid distractions.
- Don’t text while driving.
- Don’t drink and drive.
- Don’t drive drowsy!
Travel:
- Always let someone know where you are going.
- Always carry ID.
- Always lock your hotel room
- Have a backup plan.
